Tadano to Show Seven Cranes at ConExpo 2014

Tadano America Corporation will show seven cranes from its rough terrain and all terrain ranges at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas March 4-8, 2014. The company plans to significantly increase its presence at the construction equipment tradeshow, according to Tadano America President Yo Kakinuma.

“ConExpo provides the perfect venue to showcase Tadano’s core values of safety, quality and efficiency in our products and services,” said Kakinuma. “Tadano produces the highest quality and highest value RTs and ATs in their classes. Our goal at ConExpo is to give our dealers and the end-users of our equipment the opportunity to see for themselves the attributes of our cranes and the intrinsic quality built into these state-of-the-art machines.”

Kakinuma pointed to the safety, ease of operation and reliability of Tadano cranes and the positive feedback the company gets from end-users.

“At ConExpo, we will give our customers the opportunity to visit with Tadano crane owners as well as our Tadano management team from around the world,” he said. “Our cranes will be a highlight at the Gold Lot.”

Tadano America’s 24,000 square foot booth will feature:

Rough Terrain Line

    • Two new GR-1600XL-2. (160 ton)
    • GR-1000XL-2 (100 ton)
    • GR-750XL-2 (75 ton)
    • GR-150XL-1 (15 ton)

All Terrain Line

    • ATF 400G-6 (450 ton)
    • ATF 220G-5 (250 ton)

“Conexpo 2014 is the official unveiling of Tadano’s new GR 1600XL-2, 160 ton, 3-axle rough terrain. However, this new model has already received unprecedented market acceptance in North America in the form of many purchase orders,” said Ron Dogotch, vice president of sales.

Of the two GR-1600XL-2 units one will be configured showing the crane in the transportation mode with the quick self-removing front and rear outriggers. The second unit will be rigged as a general purpose RT. Other features of the GR-1600XL-2 include the Tadano exclusive asymmetrical multi-position outrigger setup, automatic moment limiter (AML-C), and the ECO-mode and positive control systems that reduce fuel consumption while the crane is being operated or on stand-by also reducing CO2 emissions. A single cylinder 6-section 200.1’ boom and 59.1’ bi-fold off-setting jib provide for a tip height of 256.6’ and the cab tilt system improves visibility at extended reach. The Tadano HELLO-NET system allows you to monitor crane activity remotely via a computer or mobile device.

The biggest machine on the stand will be the 450-ton ATF 400G-6, another new crane from Tadano. This unit comes standard with the exclusive Tadano “lift and release adjuster” that provides automatic radius correction for boom deflection under load. The crane is also equipped with a 5-section boom to 198.6’ and can be equipped with a fixed or a hydraulically extending luffing jib with maximum length of 257.5’. The ATF400G-6 also features an optional power system (PS) for increased capacities. This crane features the Tadano HELLO-NET telematics system.

“The ATF 400G-6 is another best of class crane from Tadano. “This crane has the capacity, reach, safety features and ease of operation not found in most ATs on the market. This crane was designed to beat the competition in every arena and it lives up to our claim,” said Dogotch.
