The platform can be fitted in an hour and attaches with pins rather than bolts, making the process quick and tool free. There is no need to bring in a dedicated boom lift to do the job and incur the rental and transport costs associated with extra equipment, said the company.
With a heavy duty all-steel construction and self-levelling capability, the platforms includes a swing-in entry door, non-skid floor, interior handrails, tool storage racks, D-rings for attaching safety lanyards and an all-round 6 in. toe hold. It is operated from the crane cab using normal crane controls and monitored by Tadano’s LMI.
According to Bill Dunn, Tadano Mantis sales manager for Tadano Oceania, the availability of the platform will deliver greater versatility for operators. “Often the need for an aerial work platform is relatively short term, maybe just a few hours.
