Tuesday, October 25th will be a monumental day for Sims Crane & Equipment. It marks the beginning of a very special campaign – one that could literally save lives.

We will be unveiling our 70 Ton Linkbelt model HTC-8670 – and it will look very different than the last time you saw it. And most likely, different than any other crane you’ve EVER seen. Why? Because it will be pink!
Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader of the breast cancer movement, has invested more than $1.9 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, they’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® and the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure®, and generous contributions from their partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, they have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
The crane will be named the “Mary Helen”, after Sims Crane CCO Operator Bubba Tillis’ mother-in-law, who is a breast cancer survivor. Each time the crane is rented until October 2012, Sims Crane & Equipment will donate $100 to Susan G. Komen to fund research and advancements in finding a cure for this dreaded disease.
Sims Crane & Equipment will also be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure Tampa Bay, and the “Mary Helen” will be along the route with family members and friends cheering on and encouraging those who are walking 60 miles over 3 Days to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. We will release the details of our location, as we get closer to the event.
