On January 11th, 2012 Sims Crane & Equipment and NBIS teamed up with the Florida Crane Alliance to bring you a special one - day only event. This Crane Management Seminar offered valuable insight into the ASME B30.5 and OSHA 1926 and the 1400 changes that are reshaping roles and responsibilities of crane owners and crane users for construction and related industries.
Keynote speaker Billy Smith, EVP of claims and risk management for NBIS is highly regarded among his peers and within the crane industry as having great insight into how crane regulation has evolved during his illustrious career.
The presentation focused on challenges for contractors and crane users in today’s construction climate with special attention to new definitions outlined in ASME B30.5 and changes to OSHA 1926.1400.

Bob Berry, Director of Safety for Sims Crane & Equipment knows the importance of safety education and making sure all operators know their responsibilities while on a job site. “Sims felt it was necessary to update the industry on all the new changes to the standards and regulations. Many of our clients did not understand their responsibility in a crane lift” said Berry.
