Michele Pugh has been with Sims Crane & Equipment for almost six years. Prior to joining Sims Crane & Equipment, Michele worked at a feed and hardware store near her home in Plant City. She wanted to go somewhere that she could grow with and move up in the company and a friend told her about a position available at Sims and told her what a great place this is to work. She jumped at the chance to join the team!
Michele is responsible for doing all the Notice to Owners, making 30-day calls (which is customers past 30 days on paying) and the filing. She says it’s hard to say what the most rewarding part of her job is, because everything she does is rewarding. If she had to choose one, she says, "Notices that protect us on job sites is very rewarding" as well as "Getting customers to cover their invoices and help us cover our numbers."
In her spare time, Michele rides and trains horses outside of work. She runs barrels and loves it! It is what she does for extra money but it is more fun than work. She also loves spending time with her daughter who is 3. She lights her world just being around her.
The most influential person in her life would be her Dad. "He has always been the one that made me feel good about myself and always made sure I knew that I was a good person," says Michele. "He always make sure to take time and help people. I guess that is why I love being able to help people and always try to give myself to be there for them."
Michele has State Finals coming up in June and she is very excited about the two horses she is taking this year. "I have a mare that I am so confident in to win. I feel it's gonna be my year!"
