LAKELAND, FL -- Sims Crane & Equipment Co., based in Tampa, announces the following new hires at its Mulberry Branch.
George Carr has been named Sales Representative at Mulberry. Carr was formerly with Linder Industrial Machinery in Orlando and Plant City. With over 25 years in the construction industry, Carr specializes in sales and rental of cranes, boom lifts and fork lifts. A native of Lakeland, Carr graduated from Lakeland’s Santa Fe High School. He is also a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
Steve Evans spent 20 years in corporate America before coming to Sims as a Rigging and Moving Specialist, selling rigging transportation and special services throughout central Florida. His expertise is in customer service, sales, management and project management. Also a Lakeland/Polk County native, Evans graduated from Lakeland Kathleen Senior High School. He has earned 11 advanced certificates, licenses or degrees in a wide array of professional areas of expertise in the crane, heavy lifting and related industries. Evans is a six-year Army Veteran.
