Man Lift Equipment (MLE), Cudahy, Wis., has developed the Electronic Collision Warning System for scissor lifts or boom lift platforms. It allows the user to work closely around objects safely and protects against damage to critical components. The system is programmable to sound an alarm or stop when an intrusion into the detection plane occurs. This warning system is available for one side only or as a complete envelope of the machine, and can be turned off while the machine is being driven in open areas.
