“Our products are specifically designed to help facilities professionals improve safety, productivity and efficiency, which are the most common challenges that work sites present,” said Randy Marzicola, JLG Industries director of channel development. “We look forward to showing NFMT attendees how the JLG LiftPod and JLG Compact Crawler Boom can address their needs.”
JLG’s LiftPod FS60 is the latest addition to the LiftPod line of personal portable lifts that combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform. The FS60 features a 12-foot working height and 6-foot standing height. For added productivity, one worker can complete tasks with a 360-degree range of motion in the enclosed platform. In addition, an attachable work tray holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials.
To increase efficiency on the job site, the unit has three lightweight components that can be assembled in just 30 seconds. Its compact 30-inch base and non-marking rear caster wheels enable operators to easily move the LiftPod through doorways without disassembling it. After the job has been completed, the lift can be taken apart quickly and placed in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for enhanced portability between work sites. The LiftPod—both the FS60 and FS80 models—are an affordable, productive, portable alternative to ladders, scaffolding and rolling ladders, for a variety of heights.
JLG’s line of Compact Crawler Booms includes three models, with working heights ranging from 45 to 75 feet. They feature a tracked wheel carriage that climbs steps and a narrow chassis for convenient access through gates, yards, doorways and public buildings. Because of their lightweight design, they can be used on sensitive flooring and on landscaping.
For increased mobility, the booms also include a hydraulic jib, rotation of platform and zero-turn radius with counter rotation. The lightweight units have adjustable track widths for stability and, because of their compact design, they easily can fit on a trailer or tilt-back truck for enhanced portability. The machines include options for a gas, diesel or electric engine, which is combined with a standard electric AC motor that reduces noise and emissions.
NFMT is a series of four events: the National Facilities Management & Technology Conference & Expo; the Maintenance Solutions Expo; the Safe Building Expo; and the GreenTech Expo. Conference attendees include non-residential building owners, facility managers, maintenance engineers, directors of sustainability and planning, operations and management professionals. The conference includes exhibits from more than 450 suppliers of facility products, more than 100 educational sessions and multiple networking opportunities.
