NFL Training camp kicked off on Friday, July 27th, and the stadium was buzzing with activity as players arrived to get to work and fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite Jacksonville Jaguars.
EverBank Field is in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, and the home stadium facility of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). It also hosts the annual Florida–Georgia game, a college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia and the Gator Bowl, a post-season college bowl game.
EverBank Field was also in ‘pre-season’ mode last week, getting some minor cosmetic upgrades, as well as upgrades to the current sound system. Over the course of two days, four new sets of speakers were added over the tops of the seats to improve the overall general acoustics of the stadium.
The 70 ton Linkbelt mobile crane, operated by Harry Scabarozi with Mechanic Doug Peery, and 150 ton mobile crane, operated by Jeff Thomas were on site for the lift. The speakers were in cluster of 6, and placed strategically around the stadium for optimal sound. Sims Crane & Equipment worked closely with Turner Construction and the Everbank Field crew to ensure ideal placement.
