AEM Reports Expected Growth Through 2013

Today, Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) released a report indicating moderate expectations of growth from construction equipment manufacturers through 2013.  The report, based on a survey of AEM member companies indicates that while the economy, government spending and credit availability remain as hurdles for many companies, the industry as a whole shares a positive outlook over 36 months.  The crane and lifting equipment sector, down 11% in the US for 2010, shows the most positive room for growth, with industry leaders expecting positive growth of 10-12% per year through 2013.
